Rail Services Disrupted In Ventura County By Apparent Suicide

Simi Valley police say a man apparently killed himself Saturday morning by jumping in from of a westbound Metrolink train.

Witnesses told police that the man intentionally put himself in front of the oncoming train near First Street, in Simi Valley just before noon. The 61 year old Simi Valley man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one on board the westbound train was injured, but rail service was temporarily disrupted by the incident.
