Vandals Destroy Computers, Smear Paint In Classrooms At Two Ventura County Schools

Posted on Thursday, April 26, 2012 12:53am

Ventura County Sheriff’s Detectives are trying to figure out what led a rampage by vandals through two Camarillo elementary schools, which left tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

During the early morning hours of April 11th, vandals hit Los Primeros School, on the 1500 block of Kendall Avenue. Then, on April 18th, they struck Dos Caminos School, on the 3000 block of Appian Way. The vandals smashed windows to get into classrooms, and then knocked over tables, pulled down ceiling tiles, and smeared paint around the rooms. The damage is estimated to be in the $20,000 range.

Detectives are hoping someone may have heard someone talking about involvement in the incidents, or have seen something which will lead to the arrest of those responsible.
