Posted on Saturday, March 10, 2012 12:08am

Coming up on the one year anniversary of Japan’s devastating earthquake, and tsunami this weekend, a Santa Barbara County based non-profit agency says it’s made nearly four million dollars in contributions to relief efforts.

Direct Relief International says it worked with nine Japanese non-governmental organizations to distribute funding for more than 250 projects.

The relief efforts ranged from emergency food, and shelter efforts to specialized long term care for people with disabilities, and senior citizens.
