Ventura County Man Sentenced To Nearly 22 Years In Prison For Providing Heroin Which Led To Two Fatal Overdoses

A federal court judge has sentenced a Simi Valley man to nearly 22 years in prison for providing heroin which led to two death, and two near fatal overdoses.

David Ryan Tejara received a 262 month federal prison sentence.  Prosecutors say the 23 year old man admitted supplying heroin to a Thousand Oaks man who died from an overdose in October of 2009, and a Simi Valley man who died in May of 2010.  He had pled  guilty to distributing narcotics.

Tejara had told authorities he was one of the largest heroin dealers in Ventura County.
