The latest predictions from a Ventura County university’s economic forecast center are for weak, but positive improvement with the national economic, with a much poorer outlook for California.
The Center for Economic Research and Forecasting at California Lutheran University has issued it’s latest state, and national forecasts.
CLU economists say California’s economy will continue to lag behind the weak national recovery which is underway.
The forecast says that the state’s unemployment rate will continue to be higher than the national numbers.
CLU’S Bill Watkins says the state’s economic issues will remain severe enough that some businesses will avoid the state, and even move their operations elsewhere.
