Some Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department deputies didn’t have to go far to find the victims of vandalism, becuse they were the targets of the attack.
Three vehicles parked last weekend at the Santa Barbara County Superior Court Complex, in Santa Maria were targeted. An off duty deputy discovered the vandalism on Saturday, which included slashed tires on two department vehicles, and a broken rear window on a third. Two of the vehicles were patrol cars. There were some deep scratches on the vehicles, with one of them a reference to a northern Santa Barbara County street gang.
No arrests have been made in connection with the vandalism.
