It’s been a week since Election Day, but the just released final count in one local City Council race shows an incumbent will keep her seat.
Philipa Klessig had a 39 vote lead over Chris Mann the day after the election, with just under 150 provisional, and vote by mail Westlake Village City Council ballots yet to be counted.
In the end, she defeated challenger Mann, who was a past city councilman himself, by just under 50 votes. Klessig will rejoin incumbent Ned Davis on the council. Davis was the top vote-getter, and easily won reelection.
