Ventura firefighters quickly contained a blaze in Ventura Tuesday morning (11/1) which destroyed a garage, and threatened other nearby structures.

The fire was discovered just after 7 a.m. on the 500 block of Evergreen Drive.  Ventura firefighters made sure neighboring buildings were evacuated, and knocked down the inferno in about 20 minutes.

No one was hurt.  The fire caused about $75,000 in damage.  Four people were displaced from an adjacent home, because electricity was knocked out to the property.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
