Brazen Armed Robber Uses Hammer To Smash Display Cases In Oxnard Jewelry Store

Posted on Friday, October 28, 2011 3:30pm

Oxnard Police are investigating a brazen daylight armed robbery of a jewelry store in which a man used a gun to keep employees at bay, while he used a hammer to break open display cases, and steal a number of items.

It happened just before 1:30 this afternoon, at Daniel’s Jewelers, on the 2000 block of North Rose Avenue.

A white male in his 30’s wearing a baseball cap, a bandana over his face, and sunglasses entered the store, and committed the robbery.

No one was hurt.

The man fled on foot, and is still at large.
