Storm Could Drop Two Inches Of Rain In Parts Of Santa Barbara, Ventura Counties

A cold front moving through the region could mean more locally heavy rainfall at times in Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties.  Totals could top an inch in some coastal areas, and two inches in local mountains.  Rainfall amounts have approached an inch and a half of rain so far in some local mountain areas.  As of 10:30 Wednesday morning (10/5), here are some preliminary rainfall totals for the region:

Santa Barbara County:

San Marcos Pass:  1.36  Goleta  .80  Montecito  .75  Carpinteria .70

Ventura County:

Ventura  1.03  Oxnard  .75  Thousand Oaks  .34

Rain remains in the forecast through Wednesday, with thunderstorms possible Wednesday night.  The snow level is at 6500 feet.
