A local school district is getting a big federal grant to try to help ease emotional, and behavioral problems among students.

The Santa Barbara Elementary School District is getting a three year, $1.2 million dollar counseling grant from the U-S.Department of Education.  The money is intended to help expand services at five elementary schools with higher than average counseling needs.
