Ventura Police say they’re seeking the public’s help, following a rash of vehicle burglaries, and thefts in the city.
Investigators say the number of the crimes is up by more than 50-percent in the last week, with items ranging from laptops to cell phones being stolen. There were 37 incidents alone during the week of August 15th.
The detectives say they think there are some organized groups behind many of the burglaries, and thefts, as well as some individual drug users, and parolees.
Police are asking people to be alert for people behaving suspiciously in neighborhoods, especially if they seem to be loitering.
