Ventura County Teens Arrested For Bomb Threats Made To Las Vegas Casinos

Posted on Friday, August 12, 2011 3:30pm

Two Ventura County teenagers have been arrested on attempted extortion, and bomb threat charges after some Las Vegas hotels, and casinos received bomb threats, and demands for money.  A joint Las Vegas Police-Ventura County Sheriff’s Department investigation led detectives to Simi Valley, where they arrested an 18 year old, and a 16 year old, and seized what they called sophisticated equipment used to hide the identity of those making phone calls.  KCLU’s Lance Orozco has the story.
