Ventura County Firefighters Control Blaze In The Conejo Valley

Posted on Thursday, June 30, 2011 11:30pm

Ventura County firefighters are trying to determine the cause of a brushfire which caused a scare in the Conejo Valley, blackening more than three acres of land, and sending huge plumes of smoke into the air. The fire broke out just after 6 p.m. Thursday, near Camino Dos Rios in Lynn Ranch.  Firefighters were able to stop the spread of the fire before it threatened structures.  More than 85 firefighters battled the fire, fully controlling it in about three hours.
