Posted on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 12:10pm

The City of Agoura Hills bought a vacant 15,000 square foot building near its City Hall and Library complex to house the community’s recreation center.  The city paid $4.4 million dollars for the building, which once was home a temple and day school.  The city currently has a recreation center on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, but officials say its size limited offering all of the programs, and services they would like to make available.  The lease on the existing building runs until 2014, but it will take some time to remodel, and rebuild the city’s new building.
