Arrest Made In Connection With What Ventura County Authorities Call Bank Card Reader Theft Scheme

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in connection with what the call a ring stealing ATM card readers from throughout Southern California.

Deputies responded to the theft of a card reader from a Chase Bank on the 3900 block of East Thousand Oaks Boulevard.  Because of the theft, they stepped up patrols around other banks, and less than a half hour later responded to at an alarm at another Chase branch, on the 1600 block of North Moorpark Boulevard. 

They arrested 21-year-old Andranik Mousesyan of North Hollywood, and say they recovered tools, and some of the stolen equipment.  Investigators think he was part of an operation which operated from San Luis Obispo, to Los Angeles Counties.
