Ventura County Supervisor Kicks Off Re-Election Bid

Ventura County Supervisor John Zaragoza has kicked off his re-election bid for 2012.  The Fifth District Supervisor is the first person to announce  candidacy for the seat.  At a Ventura County Government Center news conference, Zaragoza was endorsed by County Sheriff Geoff Dean, as well as by deputy sheriff’s, and firefighters unions.  Last week, First District Supervisor Steve Bennett announced hell seek a fourth term in office in 2012.  The third incumbent up for re-election next year, Kathy Long, hasn’t announced yet whether she will run again.
