A large industrial fire gutted a building in central Santa Barbara Monday morning, taking firefighters about an hour to contain. The fire was first discovered at Vasari Plaster and Stucco, on the 1oo block of Santa Barbara Street, at around around 10:30 a.m. The flames were so intense, firefighters couldn’t enter the building, and focused on protecting neighboring structures. A man suffered burns, and a firefighter a back injury, but no one suffered life threatening injuries. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
